Hi,
I just stumbled across this posting https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/incubating-and-hatching-muscovy-eggs.63532/ when searching for tips on hatching Muscovy eggs. I have read and re-read the guide and I have a few questions.
A few details first:
Incubator we are using: http://a.co/j91PI4p (Yaufey Mini Research & Household Fully Automatic 9~12 Digital Eggs Incubator)
Eggs were shipped and arrived yesterday: April 18th.
I carefully took all of the eggs out and placed them pointy side down in an old egg carton and marked them with a felt tip marker.
According to the guide:
Thanks for your help!

I should leave them like this then use the auto turner after this time period. What is throwing me is, that it says that the eggs should still be upright. I'm not exactly sure how this should work as if I put them to be auto turned, the will lay on the side of the egg which the guide mentions not to do until day 15. I'm still withing the first 24 hours of day 1 incubation. I'm looking for advice on if they should be laid on their sides or just rotated upright?all shipped eggs should be incubated for the first 36 to 48 hours standing upright (pointy end down) and NOT TURNED for those first 36 to 48 hours
after the first 48 hours has passed you can turn on the autoturner... they still need to be upright and autoturned for best results...
Thanks for your help!
