I have 3week old chicks,
when can I start feeding them scraps?
should I introduce things slowly, one new food at a time?
Is there anything they can NOT eat? (Dairy, veggies, fruit ect)
Can you over feed scraps?
Thanks

You could start feeding scraps now if they have grit available. Most will start out feeding the scraps chopped up to give them a better go at them. Chickens are omnivores like us and can eat just about what ever we eat. You can unbalance their diet by feeding too many scraps. I wait till they are nearly done growing till I give them any thing other then the grower or what they can find in the pasture/lawn.

Dairy/Yogurt is one of the things you can give them without needing grit. Mine loved yogurt from about 3weeks on. I would put it on my finger tip and let them eat it off my finger, of course that had to stop once they got too big and started to take finger with the yogurt. LOL!
