I set my eggs on March 15th around 1:00 ~ today at about 1:00 this little guy/gal hatched. No movement out of the others, no rocking, and no pipping yet. Can't really say he is an early hatcher because today is day 21.

I candled at day 8 and 18. This chick that hatched looked different than all the others since it had a dark spot in the shell (which I assume to be the eye now) all the others looked alike which led me to believe this guy was not developing correctly. I left him in just in case and he hatched first. The others when candled at day 18 looked normal like this one except for the dark spot. All the air sacs looked the same. Could it just be that the others are going to be late bloomers? I opened that lid on day 19 to take out wet sponges and put in a dry one (about 30 seconds) when the humidity got to 89% for an hour and wouldn't drop.

Wait these out until Monday ~ Tuesday Days 23 & 24?

Thanks!

Thanks to everyone here ~ this is your pride and joy. Couldn't of done it without y'all.

I set my eggs at 10:00 am on saterday the 14th and counted this as day 21 so how can you have set eggs at 1:00pm on the 15th and be on day 21 Now Im really confused...

Adorable baby by the way congratz:D

Thanks Gabrielle ...

Some count differently ~ I'm not positive on how to count either. I asked yesterday as well.

Some put them in on Monday 2:00 then count Tuesday at 2:00 the first day.

Some put them in on Monday 2:00 and call that the first day.

Some put them in on Monday 9:00 and count that as the first day.

Some put them in on Monday 9:00 and count Tuesday 9:00 the first day.

So....am I on Day 20 or 21?

I set mine on the 15th at 11 pm and count today as day 20. I also have 1 chick, and several pips. We got to watch it hatch

We are first timers.

The first day you set your eggs this is day o. An easy way to do this is if you set them today a saturday go ahead 3 weeks(21days) and that is hatching day. So if you set them today at 8am, the 21st day is april 25th starting at 8am.
