A few questions for chicken breeders

Have a separate pen for each type of hens and the rooster?

Once they breed how long will they lay fertile eggs?

If a hen lays colored eggs and breeds with a RIR roo will the pullets from them keep the color egg?

I have a RIR roo and barred rock and RIR hens. Going To get some Maran hens and a roo and some americauna hens and a roo.

Would I house them all together? What do you do?

they may or may not get the gene from the hen who lays colored eggs whichever gene is more dominant but the chick if it doesn't lay colored eggs itwill carry the gene to lay Dolores eggsso there's a chance that if you decidetomix them you'll get colored eggs
