A few things I have made....pics!

Peapickinchicks,

What a nice coincidence! My company's website is thorntonlandscape.com

I am not familiar with your company, but the name "Mike Okes" rings a bell... I will have to check with one of my coworkers who is active on a national level.

I did go to the company website... are you in any of the pictures? The work that they do looks great, and the website is nice too. I have been at this job for eighteen years and I feel the same way about my company that you do about yours. I love the people and my career! I feel very blessed to have found my place here, as well.

I would be quite delighted to share some pics of my work with you. I often feel very "removed" from the art world because of my busy schedule and would be tickled to get some feedback that might inspire me to devote some time to my "real love". Most of my recent work has been sold, but I may have photos that I could scan and post for you to see. Perhaps I can do some chicken paintings over the winter and share those as well. Okay, now I am getting excited!

Thanks for the inspiration!

Wateboe,
Sorry I was spelling your name wrong there. No, I'm not in any of the pics those were taken before I started working here. I have only been here since April. Mike and his brother Brian are the owners they started this business when they were teenagers. They are extremely smart, good natured, polite fellows, their wives as well, I'm sure that their Momma is very proud of them. Checked out ya'lls website NICE as well. I can't wait to see some of your work, hope you can get some extra time this winter to do some more. I'll post any work of mine too if I get time to make any more. I have some sewing I want to do also.

Very nice...just be glad u have things to can. My garden was a complete mess....rained all summer and killed almost everything. Love your home!!

Sewing... that is one of my hopeless areas. I am jealous!

By the way, my husband is a quite acomplished furniture and cabinet maker as well... though he makes his living as a farmer at this point. He has a monster woodshop. Now , if I could just get him away from his antique tractor resoration project so that he could make us more furniture!

We are by for non- accomplished wood crafters or cabinet makers. We keep it quite simple. My grandfather and father are quite accomlished at it though beautiful work they do.
I dream of a woodshop, most of our projects are made on the front porch,

. And my sewing is okay, I'm still a novice, but improving, I work much better by hand, but the machine makes it so fast it's just getting the machine to work with me.
