sorry i couldn't resist.
I didn't live in Florida too long, about 5 years. One thing I noticed was that it was very weird, the way I thought about tropical storms and hurricanes, from when I first moved there to when I moved from there.
When I first moved there, anything tropical would scare me to death. By the time I moved away, I had gotten to where it was like 'hurricane? What level? Oh, it's only a 2?? No biggie, wake me up if it gets to a 3, and is headed straight for Tampa Bay'.
I guess I just got lucky that nothing major happened when I was there.
