I found a great way to get those tricky quail eggs into the bowl without splurting them all over! You take a sharp knife and run it back and forth like a saw over the oblong side of the egg until the knife is half way through. You then just open it up into the bowl like you would a chicken egg.

Hahahhaa... yeah that's a good one.... really you're right... their eggs just don't CRACK like other poultry.... it stays attached to itself.... I really get everything messy when I crack quail eggs...

This Is The Best Way Right Here. Do A Google Search For Quail Egg Scissor,And You'll Find Them. They Cost Anywhere From$15-20.
I've Got A Video Of Someone Using Them, But Can't Figure How To Post It...

Wow.... I wish we can purchase it locally. .. because they don't have such stuff here.... and from the net it's hard too...

I have one and I love it. I wish I had a bigger pair for regular eggs (I've tried these on big eggs!). I got mine from Korin which is a Japanese knife store (by internet).

I still pour the eggs into a bowl first and pour the eggs into whatever I'm cooking. The shells tend to gather at the bottom and if I pour carefully, I can avoid getting them into my food.

Sometimes as I'm cutting, I say, "Off with their heads!" OK, I am easily amused, but using these is fun!
