Hello everyone! I've been lurking the forum for a little while and just love the feel of the community here, so I decided to be brave and say Hi
We're a relatively new duck family after my daughter fell in love with a couple of little 8 week old Khaki Campbell's back in April, but they have stolen all our hearts! They truly are the sweetest little girls, and my daughter has won them over with patience (and treats!)
they now happily eat from our hand and even allow a gentle cuddle before they are put to bed for the night. I was a little worried as I've never kept birds/poultry before, but they really are a pleasure to have around the garden and so funny to watch, they each have their own little personalities and they have started to lay eggs over the past week or so! We are getting a fresh egg from each of them everyday now which is lovely!
Really looking forward to chatting all things feathered with you all
