A Guinea Fowl Picture contest WINNERS ANNOUNCED by Judge OSUman #102

Here are my three guineas. They escort my big LB roo everywhere. If they somehow loose track of him they start calling until they catch up with him - they are his personal guinea entourage, lol!

I found it was impossible to get a picture of them without him in it; tried for two days before I finally gave up and posted these. Silly birds. I have even seen them tug on his wattles and he tolerates it all with charm and grace. I guess he is used to it now. Funniest thing is these keets were bought at a few days old and NOT raised under a hen, but in a brooder. They just attached themselves to him when I started letting them range with the chickens at over a month old. Weirdos!

gocrow77, I love the pics of the itty bitty keets following the big huge rooster! Our first 4 keets were kind of like that, not so attached though. When we started letting our keets free-range (They were probably 8 wks+) they bonded to our very gentle Dominique rooster. They would dust bathe with him, preen with him, eat with him, follow him everywhere! It is so cute to see

Your rooster is very pretty BTW.

These are my 3 month old babies...."Pain and Panic".... they are very comical, and send out distress calls when their turkey pals aren't in sight.

here are mine, they are 2 months old and get 'field trips', today we were relaxing outside and they were settling down under the brush and so were the chickens and out of the blue a hawk flew through- squawking, and when i checked them, they were still as statues.. only their eyes peeking out of the brush
