A Hatching Grace Period??

It's day 28 for me. I started at night ( I'd picked them up from a friend after work) so will they start to hatch at night? I had two eggs go out today. One never developed beyond a duck the size of a quarter. The other was almost full grown, no movement for a few days. Down to 5 lovely eggs. Kept them IN the incubator and held a light to them, three were looking as if the may internal pip..pipe..? Other two were kinda too dark to see anything..

So............

How much longer should they stay? Week, two weeks....I'm pretty interested in knowing Thank you in advance for replies

If they are not muscovy eggs, you should have ducklings within the next couple of days. Muscovies will go a week longer before they hatch.

If yesterday was just day 28 it could be anytime over the next 3 days to have ducklings fully hatched.

So, on day 30 with my Khaki Campbell eggs. I can still see movement in there.....ah, the insanity of waiting
