A hen keeps getting out

We clipped both wings on all 4 of our gals. One keeps getting out. We have 4’ fence up to expand the run that’s attached to the coop.

I’m guessing we are going to have to change the set up. I’m tired of the hen head count and the dog whining at the door to let us know one got out.

Anyone have an escape artist? Any tips for finding how/where they get out? Thanks

Taller fence, or a more severe wing trimming, or a combo of the two.

Photo of set up? I'm imagining they're just hop/flying to the top and then over, but maybe there's other gaps that you've missed?

Check for gaps under the fence line too.

My usual escapee was caught at the neighbors 2 days in a row. She had molted her wing feathers back in along with the rest of the flock but I cut them again after catching her on the second day. Only to find out she was going UNDER the fence. I just lowered the electric wire in that area and she's been in the pen ever since.

I have some that will fly right over their fence.
to find where she's getting out, put out game camera if you have one! if you don't maybe put treats or food outside the fencing and keep her locked up. She might be so tempted that she'll escape and show you how she does it!!

Well. I’ve discovered one in particular is climbing up the ramp and then flying over. As you can see we’ve added some things to block them. The table cloth seems to scare them back. We are going to get a proper run set up for them to have more room and be safe. Yesterday I found one outside our fenced yard.
