Hi everyone. I am a bit puzzled about one of my 4-month old pullets. Well everyone told me it was a pullet. I know that hens can sometimes crow but...

So, they grew up with this really lovely rooster that left about 2 weeks ago. Since then, my big hen Purple has been attempting to crow. It started out as this WOOWOO noise that made me laugh but now she's basically gotten the hang of it. She also looks more roo-ish in the past few weeks.

Is she not a hen at all? Is she one of those hens that has decided to be the roo and learn to crow? Will she ever lay an egg?

Chickens are strange, man. I've included a video and pics. :)

She- well, he- was probably a slow developer. If you still had your roo you might’ve noticed them arguing over the ladies.
