A Lighter Colored Egg

One of our Red Sex-Links lays much lighter colored eggs than the rest. In fact, they're almost pink. I was cooking lunch for OldGal and I, (Eggs, sausage and toast) and discovered that; Not only was the shell lighter, but the white spread out almost 3 times as much in the pan. The eggs don't seem to taste any different.

Any thoughts?

The other thing you have is some sort of stress. Stress can cause watery whites and pinkish shells. A further cause of pinkish shells can be excess calcium.

If she's laying an egg every day, then frankly I wouldn't worry about it. If she was contagious, your other hens would have shown signs of disease by now.
