My Barred Rock girl has a limp. I'm wondering if maybe she sprained her toe or something? Here are the details: I was holding her when she flapped wildly and I couldn't hold on to her, so I dropped her. She landed in a slightly awkward position, all her weight on the foot she currently isn't putting any weight on(hence the limp). As soon as she took one step after this fall she had a huge limp. This happened at about 12 noon today. I've watched her all day, and poor thing, she's really having a lot of trouble walking.

No weight at all on the injured foot, so the limp looks really bad. I ran my fingers all over her leg, but didn't find any breaks. That's why I think her leg may be sprained somewhere. And if it is, what should I do? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

I was going to suggest you check for bumblefoot, but if it IS that she landed wrong then I'd try curling her toes individually and seeing what her reaction is.

No reaction to when I curl her toes. I really can't think of anything! Maybe her leg is sprained??

I had a young pullet jump off of the highest roost when i opened the door and startled them...I put her in a rabbit cage in the house on "bed rest" for about 1 week and she healed fine.

Ah. Now I tried straightening her toes gently. I can tell that there's a little resistance when I pull them, and her leg starts to shake a little. I don't see any swelling though. Any ideas?

Still no ideas? She's still limping very badly, and I've noticed her foot has swelled just a tiny bit. It's also a little bit pink. She's having a load of trouble getting around. Think I should separate her in a box of her own with a low roost in the garage? I'm stumped, and quite worried for my little girl.
