Great!  They can be frustrating sometimes, so I'm glad it's working out.  I worry if mine aren't getting along too.

I did let them free range as well. My dominant hen, she did go after him, but she didn't hurt him. And I think one of my buffs orpingtons really likes him. Lol. It's love! I'll keep doing what I'm doing, but I do still hate to have him in his own coop at night.

He will probably start to go into the main coop on his own soon, or some of the girls may come to his coop. In a few days, you could put him in the main coop at night. Mary

Well, he's in the coop and run with the girls. But the dominate hen still chases him, and if he tries to roost next to him she gets him on the head. Will she ever stop doing this to him?

I introduced 8 pullets and 2 cockerels to my flock of four hens at about 12 weeks old. My silkie cockerel got into a fight with the lead hen. He learned he wasn't the boss. She would really get after the boys. I sold my two silkies. So now my Welsummer cross cockerel rules the show...when Sunny allows it

. At almost 5 months he is double the girls size. She doesn't pick on him anymore and subordinate to him to a point. I'm about to introduce a two hens and two pullets. I do worry some because Sunny and her three amigas are kind of mean. I have two Ameraucana cockerels I thought about introducing also but they may just go down the road first.
