Characters- Brownie and Mocha- Peep and Cheep.....


Chapter 1


Bright and early one Summer morning, Hayley, the owner of the 4 chickens woke up in a very very happy mood
She went into her bathroom where her new baby Rhode Island Reds were just waking up.....

" Good morning Mocha and Brownie." Her chicks were wide awake and very hungry!
" Ok ok, heres some food to munch on. I'll be right back."

She went outside to check on Peep and Cheep, her fully grown chickens that were old enough to live outside...
She walked away to go in the garage and get there food, she grabbed a little snack. Left over watermelon!



" YAYAYAYY! Mom got us some watermelon!" Cheep yelled at the top of her lungs.

" Would you hush up down there??" Peep yelled grouchily. "I'm trying to lay an egg here!"

" Oh sorry- But before she finished her sentence some watermelon was dumped in their cage! YUMMY! They both yelled!

" Hey Cheep- said Peep, Mind saving me couple pieces?"

" You snooze you loose!" said Cheep sassily.....

A little later when Peep finally laid her egg. Hayley had already changed their water and right when Peep got up she gathered the eggs.

" Well I will see you guys later, LOVE YOU!!!!!!!! said Hayley cheerfully.
" Isn't she the best?" said Peep and Cheep while they both munched on watermelon....

Early one day when Mocha and Brownie were taking a little nap in their box in the garage, they suddenly were woken up by a loud, " BOCK BOCK BOCK!"

" Sounds like Peep and Cheep haven't been fed yet," said Brownie grouchily......
" Your telling me." added Mocha.

A little later Hayley ( their owner came out to the garage and carefully scooped out Mocha and Brownie. She took them outside.
" Ok Mocha and Brownie Claire you stay right there while I go get your older sisters....

" QUICK RUN!!!" screeched Mocha.. " PEEP AND CHEEP ARE GOING TO EAT US ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Hayley ran back down the hill with two other chickens following her.

"Ok guys you be nice, I'm gonna go get you some food.

She ran off into the shed.

" Looks like we meet again, said Peep in a nasty voice."

" Leave me and my sister alone!" Said Mocha trying to be as brave as possible.

Cheep took a big swing to try and peck Mocha, AHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Brownie jumped into action!

HEY! LOOK DOWN! YEAH I'M TALKING TO YOU! YOU BETTER START BEING NICE TO US BECAUSE WE ARE GOING TO SHARE THE SAME CAGE SOON!"

AAHHAAHAHA! Peep and Cheep both laughed. " Wow your funny! Of course your not. Mom isn't going to make us share a room with you things!

From the distance Hayley could hear lots of BOCK BOCK BOCK, CHEEP CHEEP! She ran to the backyard,

"What in blazes is going on???"
She separated all 4 of them and fed Peep and Cheep.

" Are you guys ok?" As she picked up Mocha and Brownie and gave them both a huge kiss- *SMOOCH*

" Eww mom were fine, we can care for ourselves..."
But all she heard was cheep cheep......

"Ok how about I get you water and we can eat yogurt?"

She placed them under a tree in the shade.

"Ooooh I like yogurt!" Said Mocha.
"Me too." said Brownie. They both sighed.

One summer day, IT WAS BLAZING HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So Hayley went outside and changed all 4 of her chickens water and put ice cubes in it so the water was nice and cold

BOCK BOCK! She heard. Her chickens Peep Cheep Mocha and Brownie Jr. all had their mouths wide open since it was soooo hot!

" Man Peep I am so hot!" said Cheep.

" Your telling me!!" said Peep. Hayley got out a big tub, she filled it with refreshing cold water.

" WOW!" Shouted Mocha and Brownie! " That thing is huge!"

"I will give you a little bit of sisterly advice." said Cheep. Thats what she fills with nice cold water and then lets us cool off in it and put our feet in it! It is the most refreshing thing ever in the summertime!"

"Oh cool!" Mocha and Brownie said together.

Hayley brought out a smaller tub.

"Whats that?" said Mocha.

"Oh that." Peep said. Thats for you. Its smaller so you guys don't drown!" Peep said.

"Ohhhh." said Mocha.

' OK GUYS COME ON! Com hop in!!!!! said Hayley!


YAYAYAY! They all shouted as they shot towards the bins filled with water.

"This is so nice!" they all said.


For 2 more hours they stayed in the tubs. Then Hayley fed them and off to bed of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One hot and humid morning Hayley woke up to, " BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK!!!"
" Im coming Im coming," Hayley said as she laughed.
She flew down the stairs and put on her flip-flops. She ran into the garage and gathered some food and some corn for a treat.
" Ok guys ( as she opened there door) Come on out. And then she got Mocha and Brownie.

" HEY CHEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!" Yelled Peep.
"WHAT?!" She said loudly. " I found two HUGE worms!!!!!" She said excitedly.
"Oooh yummy!"said Mocha. " You guys cant have one!" There is only enough for Peep and I," said Cheep......

Later that day while they were still out.....
"Hey Brownie come over here!!!!!" "What?" Brownie said.
"I found some corn over hear that mom hides from us!!!!!"
"OOoooh!" "We should take some and-" in the middle of her sentence she stopped.
"MOCHA MOM IS COMING! Hurry hide behind that plant!"
''OK ok ok."
Hayley came around the corner yelling Mocha and Brownie's names.
" Mocha Brownie come on!!!!!!" Where are you girls?"

Mocha and Brownie walked out behind the plant trying to sneak behind there mom ( Hayley)


She turned around, "GUYS!!!!!" " What are you doing behind there? Thats where I keep the corn!!!!"




" Cheep cheep cheep they said innocently."
Hayley looked at them and laughed and then picked them up and gave them kisses.
