A little confused..

I have a 22 week old chicken that has a ton of pin feathers coming in all over its body. It looks fine, until I picked her up and started looking thru the feathers. Is this molt? Can anyone tell me whats going on? None of the others have this and they are the same age.

Until you show a pic, we can't see what is going on. I'm guessing she's in a heavy molt. A chicken molting is very uncomfortable to be handled. Pic please.

Couldn't catch her to grab a photo, that's one wily chicken!! Do they do a heavy molt at 22 weeks?

That is kind of odd at 22 weeks....unless she's just really late for her last juvenile feathering. What breed?

I think its a Langshan. There are pin feathers all throughout the feathers. Ill get pictures of them today if I can catch her lol shes very wary of me after I scooped her up the other day.
