Howdy everyone! My name's Jeff and I'm in the great State of North Carolina.

Being in NC I've been around chickens pretty much all my life so there was never really a drive to get any of my own until recently here. Just about every neighborhood I've ever been in has had wild chickens just roaming around doing chicken things lol. Picked up 4 White Plymouth Rock hens in Feb of '18, built them a pretty extravagant coop and they still decided they prefer trees. :thBut they free range every day and I get an egg from each of them daily as thanks for letting them crash in my yard so I guess it's a fair trade.

I have a decent amount of knowledge on birds from growing up around them, but I am FAR from a pro so I'm sure you'll see me ask questions as often as I answer them, but that's how we learn so no shame in that.

Anyways, thanks for having a great community for people looking to keep chickens.
