A little mystery chick with feathered legs. What could she be?

How is her personality? Is she as sweet as she looks?

Yes! She is just as sweet as she looks.

The Cinnamon Queen pullets are friendly but not to the point where they will come over to you unless they are following the roo over.

The new EE chicks will come over if you call them but prefer not to be picked up.

This little chick not only will come over to you but she will walk all over your feet and loves to be picked up and held. I'm not so sure it isn't so she can get a view from above. (Hey roo! Come pick on me now!)

The roo pecked her the first day (he almost wore out his welcome!) but now he just seems confused on how to get the new chicks to go in the same direction as the Cinnamon Queens.

She is so beautiful. And I must say, those pics are beautiful too. what kinda camera is that? We have a chick just like that she loves to be held and actually she loves to lay on her back. I just posted on this about what breed is she? light brahma.

Enjoy her. she so cute!!

Here is the pis of ours.......

Thanks! The photos are shot with a Nikon D3100 DSLR using 15mm--55mm and 55mm-200mm lenses.

Tonight while the three EE chicks were afraid to go into the coop she boldly left them outside and made herself at home with the roo and Cinnamon Queen hens. She's only little on the outside.

Is it only the light brahma that acts like that? She's MUCH bigger than ours. How did you find out she likes to lay on her back? That's too funny! I'm a bit concerned because ours is the only bantam and she doesn't really fit in with the EEs. She's a bit of a loner and where they free range all day she gets separated from the others from time to time.

kindda looks like our light brahma but with the ducclue in her to...but the chick color when she was younger just throws that astray...the light brahma chicks are yellow. i think shes a bantam ee

heres pics of the bramha and the ducclue

I think s/he looks like SL Cochin in there - the heavy feathered legs and lacing on the colored feathers...could be a jumped fence with white d'Uccle for all that white and the muffs.

You can get some strange mixes from hatcheries sometimes. I have a bantam that I still can't figure out - red frizzle and japanese is my best guess. 7-1/2 weeks old and still needs lots of feathers. His/her name is Mystery.

She came from a local breeder. I asked him what else he has on his farm and he said "I had a buff Brahma and a couple of mongrel hens" and "I have bantam Brahma's and both standard and bantam Easter Eggers"

I guess she's just a nice mix of a few different breeds. She sure has those D'Uccle feathered feet though.

I wish I could get another like her but that's probably a long shot. She could use a little buddy.
