Hi all one of my chicks (for the third day) has a poopy bottom. It is dry so I wash it off and put vasoline any other ideas?

gently clean it off. Some folks use olive oil or something like that to help. It's a tender area so be careful. We call it pasty butt

Nope, no need to feed anything special. This is caused from the stress of shipping chicks. Once they settle down in the new brooder everything will be fine. One needs to make sure the heat isn't to extreme....cause that can be stressful for the little ones also.

Momma hens that raise their own brood, don't have peeps with pasty butts. Gotta love those pretty hens!
