so my friend found this duck wandering around behind her house in the alley and brought him to me. I have no experience with ducks but I do have an abundance on bantam chickens. I fell in love with this duck who I called norman, I bought him a pond and everything. Unfortunately, his owners had really been missing him and put up 'lost duck' posters all around the neighborhood (now thats not a sight you see every day) and I had to return him

but I got some really cute pictures of him while he was here!!!

This is him looking inquisitively at the camera

and then he asks politely if its a treat for him

when I told him no, he got really mad

but he came back when I told him I had another treat for him

I miss him very much, but I am now unable to stay away from ducks and am ordering some bantam ducks in a month or so

That was very nice of you to take him in and care for him. I know it was hard to give him up but you did the right thing. You will make a great duck owner.

Ducks hypnotize you in to loving them with their cute puffy cheeks and their beady little eyes. They are almost as evil as Silkies!!!

I am so glad his people found him though

i am totally kidding i would haaha. but he was very very handsome. i've never seen a missing duck poster! lol

I believe he was a pekin, but I am (more like was) not a duck person so I can't be sure. I seriously considered lying to them and saying I didn't have him but the fact that they went to the trouble to put up posters to get him back I figured they must really love him, I think he was sad and missed his friends too. I am getting new duckies soon though! I can't wait!

Norman looks like a pekin to me..He does look lovely..And I love the name too - until I read this I had forgotten about my little KC duck named Norman...Wow that was 15 years ago... When My daughter was a baby. I hope some gorgeous photos of the two of them together.

He's cute! That was wonderful of you to return him to his family, and to take good care of him. Maybe you should ask his family if you could come visit him sometime?
