Hello from Arizona!
I've been wanting to start a flock for some time, but just finished the process of buying my first house and I'm finally ready to start building a coop and getting a few birds. Since I live in the city (Mesa, Arizona, part of the Phoenix Metro Area) I am only allowed 10 birds. However, I had this in mind and made sure to buy in a neighborhood without an HOA so that I can try to live as if I'm in the country! It is the 'wild west', right?
I hope to raise chickens and Cotournix quail. I am also interested in gardening and other sustainable practices.
