Hello
We have a flock of 15 hens, we bought 13 of them 4 plymouth barred rock, 4 rhode island red and 5 Ameraucana chicken a few days of age, The first 13 hens have done a wonderful job laying for us but one or two of the barred rocks are plucking feather from the others. Now that we need to expand our flock and we are introducing the two California white chicken we are closely watching to see which two are the culprits as they are usual sweet when my husband and I are around. However, it still must be happening as the feathers are still gone. Is there a way to deal with the one or two barred rocks that are doing this without building a new area or taking them out of the flock in other ways to reduce stress for the others from being without back and tor tail feathers?
