A missing hen returns!

Theine is one of my easter eggers. She's been missing for up to a week. Even though I knew she'd been killed, I couldn't stop looking for her or her body. I was out until dark last night searching. I assumed a predator had gotten her, and have been stressed knowing it'd be back again soon. I also worried that might have fallen into my swimming pool.

When I went outside just now, she was with the other hens eating some squash I put out for them. I don't know where she's been, but she looks well. I'm wondering now if she's gone broody somewhere.

I am so happy she has returned. I've been so worried!

Apparently, she does have a nest. I let her get away! I am happy she's alive, but now I need to find out where she's been!
