Beatrix exited the school, backpack hung loosely over one shoulder.

Jade tugged on the end of her hair as she exited. Many of the students she'd seen had been wearing hats and/or necklaces. Her own ears were normal for the moment, but she couldn't help wondering if they would change again.

LUV quickly put her books away and grabbed her backpack, then hurried out of the school to get to her bus. She kept her eyes on the floor and her head down, hat pulled down. Her chocolate brown curls falling in her face, her hands stuffed in her sweatshirt pockets.
