I am considering taking in some new birds from a friend of a friend.
Here is the situation: A few birds were bought for easter and now they need homes. So I said i might take them in.
My concern is: Disease, and introducing new birds to my yard, and what will my girls think? But mostly disease.

Does anyone have any ideas about this, or suggestions?

Always quarantine! Quarantine for at least 30 days, as far away from your current flock as possible, in a totally different airspace. It can take up to a month for disease and health issues to show up in a bird that is seemingly healthy.
