Hello everyone,
We have 6 chickens in our next brood and some that we are going to be giving to neighbors to start their first flock. Can you help us confirm they are all pullets? 3 black ones are Marans; the barred are mixed olive eggers, and the yellow is an easter egger/amerucana mix.
We are pretty sure the smaller barred is a pullet as well as the yellow easter egger, but the marans are harder for us to notice. Only a few of the combs have started to pink up, no crowing yet, but they are all now 8-9 weeks of age. We won't want our friends to end up with cockerels at the get go and and hoping to keep any remaining pullets for our flock.
As always thanks for the advice and expertise.
