A new chicken joined my flock today !

So i have a flock of 6 hens and this morning when i went to check on my girls i noticed it was 7 chickens ! I don’t have a clue where this chicken came from or even it’s breed or gender . Thanks for any help ! ( i attached a picture of this chicken , it’s not blind it’s just my flash reflecting in its eyes lol) i also asked an old buddy of mines, he seems to think it’s most likely a 4-5 month barnevelder cockerel .

Can't help on breed or gender...but my guess to the source would be that someone got tired of it...or realized it to be a roo...and dumped it at your place. Strange...

I would say it's probably a cockerel, but it would help if you can try to get some pictures of it standing. That would also help with being able to tell the breed. Does it seem friendly? Will you keep it?

i will be keeping it and it’s actually very friendly it’s the first cockerel i’ve ever met that will let me hold it

yes they actually did i was a bit shocked to see my hens chasing him around lol

I'd put a lock on the door. He is a nice suprise but there's no telling what you might get next time.

Omg he's adorable!! I'm really not sure of his breed, I was thinking he might a Bielefelder, but I think they have yellow legs. Maybe a mix of some sort?

his legs are like a light yellow but i think he has to be a mix of something
