So a little while back I collected 24 fertile eggs from my six RIR hens and RIR rooster. A friend hatched them in his incubator. We had 16 chicks that hatched.
My question is that at about 10 days old I can see different coloration .. especially in the wings. I recently bought 40 RIR chicks from a hatchery so I've been seeing their coloration ... I'm just curious about how this may develop? All my chickens (47 now) plus the 8 (my share) from the new hatch are RIR's. I would assume they will all look alike when they mature but they certainly look a bit different at this age.
