Even when there's more.than enough nesting space, for some reason my hens ofen insist on either arguing over one particular nesting box or even doubling up.
A few nights ago three of the broodies slept in the same nesting box.
This afternoon they achieved the quadruple nest, in spite of the fact there were four empty nesting boxes at the time.
