New problem. Pullet wants to keep her egg

Indeed!

Here's my go to signs of a broody:
Is she on nest most the day and all night?
When you pull her out of nest and put her on the ground, does she flatten right back out into a fluffy screeching pancake?
Does she walk around making a low cluckcluckcluckcluckcluck(ticking bomb) sound on her way back to the nest?

If so, then she is probably broody and you'll have to decide how to manage it.

A fluffy screeching pancake...I look forward to seeing that!

If she should actually go broody, even though it is unlikely at her age, a couple of things to think about. First, if you're serious about hatching, invest in an incubator to have on standby as a backup in case she quits after a week or two. And second, don't try to hatch her little pullet eggs. Give her the eggs of a healthy, mature hen. She's immature, her eggs are small, and you might get chicks that are malformed or have health issues, if they even hatch at all. Start with good eggs for best results.

Excellent description of a broody hen!
