Home sick w some kind of flu. DH took care of the animals this morning. We usually haven’t had rodent problems, I have a bunch of black livestock bowls I fill every morning w just enough that the chickens eat it all. The one time we got in the negatives all day, the chickens didn’t eat as much, and the next morning I noticed mouse prints in the run. Probably because there was a bit of food left out.
We still have a ton of snow on the ground but it is starting to melt. I hope the two days of 40s and otherwise temps in the mid to high 30s helps to get rid of it for a bit. I also welcome mud.
Oh and one of my leghorn pullets started laying, at exactly 20 weeks.
