A new Tropical Storm in the Atlantic.

Just checked the Weather Channel's article:

ATLANTIC

Tropical Storm Fred has strengthened today and as of 11 am ET top winds were near 65 mph. Fred is located over 300 miles to the southwest of the Cape Verde Islands in the far eastern Atlantic Ocean. It is moving west at 15 miles per hour and additional strengthening is likely.

Fred has the potential to become a hurricane later today or Wednesday.

Fred is not expected to threaten any land masses. "
 
I going to the beach tomorrow!!!!!!!!! I grew up around hurricanes, in the 60's and 70's. Moved to AL thought I safe until Eloise (sp) and Opal hit us pretty hard. 250 miles from the coast! But I do have something now I didn't growing up...A Basement full underground!
