A newbie from MN

Golden Feather, I have 9 hens and I don't believe I would have enough kitchen scraps so they would be healthy enough with out the purchased Nutrena feed. They really seem to eat a lot of the boughten feed even though they get scraps from my garden and all. I also crush egg shells very fine, and give them about 1-2 Tbls. a day. What could I give them for protein?
