A note on how much I love my darling ducks

Hi all,
Firstly I’d like to say I was so surprised and joyful to see how kind the people on this forum are. Everyone has answered my (sometimes silly!) questions so genuinely and kindly. I thought that I would put this little blurb here in case anyone who is new is considering getting ducklings, or if anyone else wants to show off and gush about their own little babies!

I didn’t even know I was getting ducklings. My mum has one duck (the other died suddenly) and was planning on getting some more. Upon learning of the soon to be babies, I decided to take it upon myself to keep them safe until they were old enough to go out with Bagel. What I didn’t expect was just how beautiful these creatures are. Every Disney movie and Instagram post is lying to you-they’re a million times more amazing. From their delicate little faces and round dark eyes, to their tiny little wings and fluffy little bums-I’m in love. My bedroom floor is covered in straw and I get pooped on at least ten times a day. But when I see their tiny faces the poop and mess is so worth it. Having struggled with anxiety and depression for many years, I have never been one to interact socially, and have been lonely for quite some time. I am home from school and work due to coronavirus, but my new little family is beyond perfect. Every day I wake up and I get excited to see them and watch them grow and discover new things. They’re asleep on my chest right now, and the warmth I feel in my heart is beyond anything I have ever felt. Maybe this is a gooey tangent, but I truly love these beauties, and this forum has made me realise that others share this same admiration for these incredible creatures. If you have a warm heart and some patience with poop and chirps, then I hope these babies are also worth the effort to you! To many more discussions about our little feathered friends :):love

Mine are 6-week old Pekins! I love them so much! Waddles and Chowder are their names! I tell people chowder is the heaviest of the soups, and Chowder is the heaviest of my ducks! They’re both sweethearts though, and I find myself missing them when I’m out running errands or at work. I used to take them everywhere with me, alas now they are too big! But we still wander around the garden together and find grubs and earwigs.

That's so cute that you bring them places! I probably would too. I bring my little dogs everywhere with me. They love the stroller. I've even made some pillows and a blanket for the stroller. I would take my ducks in the stroller too (maybe not with the dogs though lol)
This is the only picture I have on my laptop at the moment:

I work at a plant nursery where people bring their dogs in a stroller. My coworkers asked me before ducks if I would bring my ducks in a stroller. I went the box/cart path. In a box on a cart when they were young, then on a towel in a bigger cart as they outgrew they box.
