Another picture I loaded. I know it's not the greatest, but it was really difficult to photograph. I actually etched a mirror with the design. This is one of my favorite pieces I made a year ago! It won best of show at the local county fair!

nice! What did you use to etch? I was looking into doing some etching about 6 months ago!

I actually did it in an art class. It was this pink goopy stuff we used. We actually covered the glass in masking tape and then cut out the design with a penknife/scalpel type thingy. Then we gooped the etching stuff on and let it sit for ten minutes. After we washed it all off and the fun part was taking off the tape!

neat! What is the name of the pink goopy stuff?? If you can remember, I wonder if they sell it. I was going to use a real etching tool.

I will have to e-mail my art teacher and ask him. I have no idea. If you ask at an art store they should be able to tell you or at least point you in the right direction. I know you have to be careful not to get it on your skin though as it can be an irritant. I loved using it though!
