A poll on The Hunger games

I haven't read the books or watched the movie, and I don't plan to. I am an avid reader but once a book becomes really popular, I really don't have any desire to read it. There are other books IMO that are better then Twilight or other popular books, but don't get the same kind of attention.

I read the book a few years ago when it first came out. It's a fascinating story. It is a good and well-written book - but it certainly isn't my favorite book. I plan on seeing the movie someday - maybe when it comes out on DVD.

Well, my sister is a "hater" and she read them.

I thought that I was the only one that hated the movie. It was only 40% accurate at best. I was highly disappointed. I read online that they were originally contemplating making a tv series out of each book. I would've much rather had them take the time to explain each book through 10 one hour episodes that to rush through it in only a little over two hours. I knew that I was going to be highly disappointed when they didn't even portray where the mockingjay pin came from. I also am not a huge fan of the unstabilized filming. I know that it adds drama but it just makes me dizzy on the big screen. I can say that I will not be attending the opening day of the second book next fall! It will probably be hard pressed for me to spend $1 to get it out of the redbox.

I read them all and loved them, went and watched the movie this weekend, and disliked it VERY much. While it was ok as far as a movie goes I didn't like that it didn't follow the book very well... just my opinion...
