A poop problem

Our Australorp Melody and RIR Rosie have stale poop on the tops of their fluff by their vents. Melody also seems to keep pooping out wet (does that mean she has diareaa?) and she has a very, stale pooped back (I think she's sleeping at the bottom of the perch at night). Should we give her a bath? And what should we do about the other problems?

It's not uncommon for chickens to have messy bottoms. I've written about it here:

Then again, sick hens often show illness first by not being able to dust bathe and care for themselves, so do look for other signs of illness.
You could certainly give a bath. I have a video on youtube to show you how - not necessary, but it does clean them up!
