She was just fine yesterday. Strong. Pretty. About 5 months old.

Now this morning, she's head-down in a cinderblock. While I have a roosting post in their pen, they have been roosting on the edge of this cement cinderblock. Is it possible she just fell head first and couldn't get out?

That's my big question. If this is true, then I'd like to process her this morning. Think that's OK? In the past, I've always discarded any animal that died of unknown cause. Could she have died for some reason that I would NOT want to process her?

Seems strange, If the hen got caught in the cinderblock head first, I think she would figure a way out.
Perhaps she was standing on top of it and had a stroke, heart attack, anything.

Sorry for your loss

About 6 weeks ago, same thing happened to another pullet.

I'm down to 2 pullets. :-(

Try get rid of the cinder blocks and putting something else in.

Because its 6 weeks in between, it could be a virus, infection, anything really.
