A Question About Ducks - Broodiness?

Yes, I would try both mommies with the babies and daddy separated by wire. He'll be less upset if he can see his girls. I've had a drake who was good with babies, but I wouldn't risk it.

Oh! I have so many questions, like visiting someone else's duck yard.
So where were you thinking of running the wire fencing for the drake, length-wise?
Looks like you have the pen throughly covered with chicken wire, do you know what kind of predators you have in your area?
I notice their bathing water is up high, is that to help you drain it or is that following the contours of the ground.
Any chance of letting the ducks out of the pen to free range some of the day?
Actually I have to go to work, its going to be a long day, so I'm not sure when I will get back to you on all this, but have a great day!
Maybe some other folks might check in too!

where the 2nd piece of wood is going up in the middle thats where im puting the wire
i think we only have rats here
i got 2 put a piece of wood underneath the baths 2 keep them level

I think they usually keep sitting until all the eggs hatch, even if it takes a couple of days so don't worry.
It looks like you have some nice grass in your yard, any chance of letting the ducks out on it sometimes. I know the ducks are busy being broody right now, but maybe the drake woudl like it. Just so the grass doesn't sprayed with chemicals like herbicides.
