Since Infectious Bronchitis damages egg production in several ways as well as other internal organs, what about sperm production? I would assume that sperm count would also be effected but have never read anything on this.
My main flock has been infected. I plan to destroy everything I don't need eggs or chicks from. All new chicks will be vaccinated. I would like to keep several bantams as I don't care about eggs or chicks but I do understand there are other factors to consider and will have to watch for those. I know the remaning birds will be carriers for 4 months. I also have a few 2 month chicks out there. Salmon Faverolles, Dark Cornish, and a Delaware. I had planned to keep several of these to be most of my small flock next year. A nice Dark Cornish Rooster and hen that are 5 months old make up the rest of the ones I really wanted. Since all incoming birds and chicks will be vaccinated in the future, would you consider keeping the onesthat I had really wanted, to see how bad they have been affected production wise before making the decision to destroy them too???

BTW...I have quit looking at conflicting info on the computer concerning IB and have started reading scientific research reports and journal articles. I have not found, yet, any answers to these questions.
