a question for those who use medicated starter

Hi
I am using kent medicated starter. I read in the learning center here that the chicks should be on starter till 8 weeks then on grower till 18 weeks.
My question is should I keep them on the medicated starter that long or switch them to regular starter with their second bag. They are about three and a half weeks old right now and close to needing their second bag of food.

Hi there!
I use Kent feeds too. I don't think they have a "grower", I am almost sure their starter bags suggests you use it until they get to layer stage (22 weeks +/-) "Chick to go" is what I use, and then "Extra Egg" for my laying hens.

You should be just fine!! I have used Kent for over a year and have really nice, robust, healthy chickens. I really like their "Extra Egg". My last couple bags of Chick to Go have had a lot of "Powdery" to them. Not sure if they are getting batted around too much??
Anyway, I will always use Kent. If you should get other birds- ducks, geese, turkey, ect..they have a "Home Flock" that is super!!!
