a question

Even my cuddliest chickens that don’t mind being held do not like it when I stroke their head / back. When I hold my chickens or pet them (with their “permission,” I never force them), I stroke their chests only (without pressing the crop) and I always try to be calm, quiet and predictable. But I can have a little one falling asleep in my arms, but the second I touch it’s head / back it will let out a little startled shriek.

Welcome. All 12 of my chickens have been raised from egg, so I have no problem holding them. They jump up on me (but I never force them, or hold them against their will) some people have dogs or cats, I have pet chickens. And I get love and breakfast from them! :D
