I just realized my rosecombs have scaley leg mites but definitely not to the degree of your poor bird!

Treat them with vetrx you say?

I agree with one of the previous posts. You should have the animal control/welfare officer in his town make a visit to see what kind of condition his other chickens and animals are in. I hate people that abuse/neglect their animals. I think they should all be subjected to the conditions their 'pets' were in or a good old fashioned blanket party.
