Hiya!

So you guys may have seen a post about Elsa joining our family by running in while kids played and I hung out washing.
So today we went out and the neighbours greeted us by saying there was a chicken in our garden and thy didn't know what to do as it was pouring with rain and they didn't want it to get killed. So they picked it up and put it in our coop as they didn't know if we got a new chick and they didn't know.
So now we have two surprises adopted chickens. This one is clearly young though, it ate chick crumb but won't touch the meal worms.
It's fluffy still and has a small chirp.
It's dark brown/black with white speckles all over.

Is there anything I need to know about chicks ?!

Help please.
Pics attached but not to clear as was getting dark.

Thanks and I appreciate all comments...

Gender , age and breed!

Still very much in shock!!

Also would there be a reason why chickens keep coming here? We don't mind but it's just so unbelievable that two chickens have come here in the space of 7 days.

The new bird appears to be a Cuckoo Marans. Both birds appear to be about 8 to 10 weeks of age. The Marans does appear to be either chilled or sick, all hunched up like it is. They very likely came from the same place. It's very likely that their owner didn't 'home' them to their coop before letting them out of their run.

I thought it may be cold, it's been out in the pouring rain

Elsa we have had for a week so this poor baby could have been out all week. It's locked in the coop now with Elsa with lots of straw.
