If someone close to you uses phrases that bother you, I believe you should have a frank and open discussion about it. Ask them to not use that (or those) phrases anymore; suggest alternatives if you must.

You can't change popular culture, so be frustrated, or laugh; your choice.

It is amazing how somethings get under peoples' skin. I pretty much let people be but when I see someone wearing their pants so low that bottom end of their digestive tract is above there belt, it then becomes my turn to cause a scene. Why would anyone think that is cool, or sexy? They obviously don't mind embarrassing themselves, so I see it as open season on humiliation! I learned before I was housebroke that you can't walk very well with your pants around your knees.

Having mentioned that, I feel so much better.

I'm not supposed to do something because it is not condoned by the rich and famous? I am proud of my originality. It's my life, I don't need to emulate someone else to be happy. I don't need approval for fitting in. I don't need a blue mohawk either. I know I'm a dork, why does it bother them? It's because they are dorks too and are afraid to be singled out by the leadership.

Who does that? I do and I will. Sorry I scared you. I escaped the feedlot when I was five, and have had no desire to get back in line. I still care though, that is why I'm holding the gate open for other free thinkers.
