A silkie rooster, 3 hawks, and extra mealworms

This happened A few weeks ago
Now I was just going about my business, planting the seeds for my veggie garden and taking quick breaks to check on the chooks.
When all of a sudden I hear Seymour, my rooster, sounding the alarm. The hens are running back into the coop. and I look around to see what has his feathers in a bunch. "It's most likely the neighbors dog again" He runs up to the chicken coup every once in a while. Doesn't hurt anyone. Gets Seymour all flustered however. Then I look up. And I see three hawks circling above! Everything was fine in the end. I ran over and got everyone who wasn't in yet in. Including Seymore. For doing a good job Seymore got his favorite treat.......Mealworms! And a little extra to boot.

That worries me! How can I protect them

I have used that with some foil pie tins attached randomly on it to rattle and shine
