They are beautiful! Like bamagirl68, I too am waiting (not so patiently) for my first eggs. OK, on the last thread I posted on I confessed to coop envy! Now it's egg envy! Let us know what you cook with them. Then share the recipes! Martha Stewart has nothing on you MissPrissy! (And that's a good thing! LOL)

What I do most often is boiled them, chop them (shells and all), mix them with a pot of cooked white rice then mix in some of my homemade yogurt. It seems like they lick the bowl clean when it is all said and done. LOL

Thanks MissPrissy...In the past I've usually fed any extras to the cats who greatly appreciate them, but I thought maybe I'd start feeding some to the hens once in a while.

Katy, I either scramble them and add some garlic powder or sometimes I hard boil a doz. or two and throw some back into them....It's a good way to supplement protein back to them...

right now I am only getting about 5-6 a day, but with just me and DH here it is hard to eat all the eggs- so some I give to a friend and i cook some for the dogs, but I think I will cook up some for the chickens and give them a treat.

I get five or six a day myself, on a good day i can get 7 or 8, which isn't bad since my flock is only 11 strong. Recently i got all the girls laying in an old dog house, instead of all over the yard. I'm happy.
