A truly Funky Chicken

Mama is a silver Sebright bantam, papa is a Copper Maran. What a funky looking little roo! The first one we hatched here at home.

I wouldn't have thought so either, but my only two bantams are Sebrigbts. And this guy hatched from a small cream colored egg, not a brown egg like my cuckoo maran lays.

Are you certain about that? Did use an incubator, or broody hen?

Not certain about much other than the color and size of the egg he hatched from. The green in his tail and body points pretty strongly to the copper maran as papa. I assumed the bantam was mama based on size and color of the egg.
