True there. But I think that it is best to keep them run bound. We have so many fisher cats, owls, and coyotes here. We might try to introduce Gus to the chickens really slowly.

The short answer is you can't. The best you can hope for is to get him to leave the chickens alone when you are there, but even that is iffy. Once you are out of sight all bets are off.

Uncle wouldn't need electric wire. Portable electric netting doesn't pack the kind of wollop that wire does. It hurts if you grab it. My grandkids learned quick enough why Grandpa said, don't touch the fence.
